Architectural Support – RUSH, Brainpark Rotterdam

Bureau Bouwkunde’s Contribution:

• architectural plan development
• fire safety engineering (FSE)

Bureau Bouwkunde provided comprehensive architectural support to Vera Yanovshtchinsky Architects for the RUSH project in Brainpark Rotterdam. This new residential building/complex, located opposite Erasmus University, is specifically designed for students and young professionals. The ground floor will house shared and commercial facilities. The construction approach involves a smart combination of (sustainable) wood where possible and concrete where necessary, resulting in a fully energy-neutral building. This sustainability is achieved through a WKO installation and PV panels.

Bureau Bouwkunde played a crucial role in offering extensive construction support for this project. Additionally, our expertise in fire safety was utilized, with our fire safety engineer, Raymond Vink preparing the Fire Safety report. The realization of RUSH is expected to commence in 2024-2025, with Van der Vorm Vastgoed as the client.
