Bureau Bouwkunde’s contribution:

The Boules Bites Bar is a fun place for anyone who enjoys playing jeu de boules or wants to have a cozy evening out for dinner. The bar is located in a part of the former Sportsworld building in Rotterdam Zuid, renovated according to the vision of entrepreneur Peter van Leeuwen. Interior architect Bullseye Interior has taken care of the decoration and layout.

Bureau Bouwkunde has contributed to this project by designing the facade on Puck van Heelstraat, featuring large glass facades with doors. Furthermore, Bureau Bouwkunde has produced the architectural drawings required for the renovation and has handled the application for the environmental permit as well as the change in zoning plan.

During the construction phase, Bureau Bouwkunde supervised the contractors, as well as the process of obtaining operational, hospitality, and terrace permits. In terms of fire safety, Bureau Bouwkunde engineered the fire safety plan and evacuation routes. Due to the building’s hospitality function, we also took care of the usage notification.
