The EYE Film Museum, on the north bank of the IJ, stands out for its special futuristic shape. It is a construction consisting of more than a thousand tons of bent steel. The facade is covered with white aluminum trapezoidal and wyber-shaped facade panels.
The architects used the themes of film and architecture as the starting point for the design. That is also why every point of view in the building evokes a different image.
The EYE has four cinemas and a 1,200 m² exhibition hall. The building offers space for educational activities, there is a film lab, a shop and a café-restaurant with a terrace.
