The EYE Film Museum, on the north bank of the IJ, stands out for its special futuristic shape. It is a construction consisting of more than a thousand tons of bent steel. The facade is clad with white aluminum trapezoidal and wyber-shaped facade panels.
The architects used film and architecture as the starting point for the design. That is also why every position in the building evokes a different image.
The EYE has four cinemas and an exhibition hall of 1,200 m². The building offers space for educational activities, there is a film lab, a shop and a café-restaurant with a terrace.
