De Toekomst lies just a short distance from the Amsterdam ArenA and is built as a new training facility with multifunctional spaces that can be used by both professional football and youth and senior football.
The sports park has a total of seven football pitches. In addition, one of those fields includes a grandstand (named after club icon Bobby Haarms), where mainly the highest selection teams play. The total capacity of De Toekomst was increased from 250 to 1,250 seats by the construction of a new grandstand.
The clubhouse is located in the middle of the complex. The clubhouse, 4000 square meters, is built from large round arches that refer to the Amsterdam ArenA. The fields and the clubhouse are close together. The complex has a sports hall, a powerhouse, meeting rooms, offices, medical rooms and a luxury canteen.
