Our client Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam had the wish to renovate the location in Schiedam on a large scale. Prior to the first phase, the Architecture Bureau carried out the complete architectural survey of the existing situation. For the top floor in the hood, a 3D measurement of the existing situation has been made. This made it clear at an early stage which investments were needed for a feasible plan. According to our vision “creative freedom for the architect”, we subsequently supervised DroogBuro and DSR during the entire process.
The use of BIM software made it possible to identify constructional bottlenecks early in the process, so that the project could be realized within the set period.
